Australia

We have yet to meet anyone who has spent time in Australia who hasn’t thoroughly enjoyed it and wants to return there. With more people moving out there to live there are more people who are considering having their own ‘second home’ to use when visiting relatives and friends. For some, it is the perfect place to own a second home where they can enjoy a beautiful climate amidst a wealthy and politically stable nation.

Largely developed around the coastal area, Australia boasts huge areas inland which are totally untouched by human hand. A huge continent, as big as the USA (excluding Alaska) and able to offer a wide variety of temperatures and vegetation. A potential visitor or home owner needs to be sure of where they want to stay. Australia stretches from Perth on the West coast to Brisbane on the East coast and they are well over 4,000 kms distant from each other!

Australia is made up of 6 states:

New South Wales
Queensland (known as the Gold Coast)
Victoria
Western Australia
South Australia
Tasmania

And 4 territories:

Christmas Island
Norfolk Island
The Northern Territories (on the mainland)
Capital Territory (Nations capital Canberra)

Visitors to Australia enjoy the relaxed and friendly attitude of a people who have generally enjoyed an ‘outdoor life’ facilitated by their weather and augmented by their often magnificent scenery. Rugged sandstone peaks and escarpments such as Ayres Rock, rainforests, breathtaking white sandy beaches and clear tropical waters. Some of the statistics are quite surprising:

The Great Barrier Reef (off the Gold Coast is over 2,000 kms long
The Australian coastline stretches for an amazing 36,700 kms
Australia is the world’s flattest continent
After Antarctica, it is also classified as the world’s driest continent
The Australians enjoy a range of flora and fauna which is often unique to the continent. The continent has over 3,000 national parks and reserves and no less than 12 UNESCO World Heritage listings.

Further Information

With the huge distances involved in Global property and in order to be able to offer the same quality of service in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres, it was essential that we appointed an agent to run our offices in Australia. We are delighted to have found that person. He has helped to guide our selection of areas and appointment of Developers and Estate Agents to work in partnership with.

Our first location is on the Gold Coast. This area stretches from just South of Brisbane down to Coolangatta on the border of the New South Wales State. A lively, sometimes brash 70 kilmetre stretch of the eastern coast which is lively and highly developed. Visitors are never short of things to do, whether it is sunning themselves on paradise beach of any of the many white beaches available along the coast, visiting theme parks, shopping, participating in sport or getting away from the coast and moving into the hills and finding the tranquility, cooler temperatures and relative solitude on offer there.

With over 300 days of sunshine a year and superb year round temperatures, this is a fun and varied place to live. We are working with an Estate Agent in this area who can offer complexes which include pools and a wide variety of facilities or single house purchase. Having lived in the area for many years, the knowledge of the local area is extremely good and this Company will work hard to ensure that your home is in an area which offers the situation you are looking for.

We are also working with one of the largest developers in Australia who are building stunning apartments in an exciting development alongside the river in the historic city of Melbourne. At once sophisticated, located in one of the centers of culture and offering stunning views in this ‘Docklands’ style of development we believe these apartments offer the potential for investment with the opportunity for long-term lets. Through the same source, we are able to offer high quality apartments in the beautiful city of Sydney with its world famous opera house and harbour.
