| Currumbin
Wildlife Sanctuary can be reached either by car
or by taxi or bus. Founded in 1947 by an enthusiastic beekeeper,
Alex Griffiths, this sanctuary is home to more than 1,600
native Australian birds and animals. Many of these creatures
have been victims of a confrontation with either man and
nature and are brought here and nursed back to health. You
will find the stunning green parrot called ‘the Rainforest
Lorikeet, Possums, Koalas and of course Kangaroos. |
